Tests carried out, in April 2005,
by the Department of Environmental Health within the Harvard School of Public Health in the USA.
During six tests in which aerosolised bacteria (Serratia Marcescens) were directed through a SafeAirTM 1200 unit, air samples were taken from the air entering and then leaving the unit. The results from these tests demonstrated an average kill rate of 98.2%.
